International Initiatives for Cooperation prepared a Christmas lunch for the elderly people in Razlog

The team of International Initiative for Cooperation and volunteers brought joy into in the lives of the elderly residents of the Home for elderly People “Sveti Dimitar” in Razlog.

On 21 December, the volunteers brought their homemade dishes and handmade Christmas cards to celebrate the upcoming holiday with the residents of the Home and show them that they are an important part of our society.

The visit of the volunteers was so warmheartedly appreciated by the residents that the Director Zdravka Kadurina decided to create a collaborative schedule for activities for the residents and volunteers for the coming 2016.

While most of the people are used to spending the Christmas holidays with their families, the people from the Home of elderly people spend the holidays by themselves. The visit of the volunteers was a big event for all the residents because only few new people visit them. Let us show them they are not an outcast part of our society as most of them worked many years for the benefit of our society. The director of the home will be welcoming all of the people who want to come and spend some time with the elderly.

If you are willing to volunteer for several hours week per at the Home, we will be glad to assist you so do not hesitate to contact us!
