National work done through JUST EU and ME project

National work done through JUST EU and ME project

During the National work IIC implemented three main phases  – participatory workshops, participatory research and public awareness-raising events in Bulgaria. The National work is part of a bigger project that aims at establishing a core activists’ group of young people who will address urgent social problems. The Bulgarian activists’ group focused on the problem of Bulgarian contemporary education. The content in textbooks very often is presented in an ambiguous and contradictory manner or simply the style is not appropriate for the respective age level. The Bulgarian team developed a Manifesto based on the participatory workshops and research phase in which they have explained the reasons from social and historical point of view, the challenges that students, teachers and parents face nowadays and they have proposed possible solutions to the problems. At the National public events IIC and the activists presented the Manifesto.

161 people from all over Bulgaria participated  in the National work. More information can be found in the attached  pdf file.
