International Initiatives for Cooperation
International Initiatives for Cooperation (IIC), Bulgaria is looking for one volunteer for a long-term project ‘‘HEY – HELPING TO EMPOWER YOUTH’’ (11 months) in a frame of European Solidarity Corps (ESC), aged of participants 18-30.
Period of the project 01/10/2020 to 31/08/2021.
The host organization of the project is: Associação Juvenil de Deão (Youth Association of Deão), located in Deão, Portugal (country of the project implementation)
The tasks of the volunteer will be to collaborate with the activities of different places (centre for the elderly, community school, social centres, parishes, community garden…).
The volunteer will receive adequate language training and he/she will contribute to the Newsletter “O Caroça” and to the blog, with the aim to report the experiences and activities that are being carried out by the association, conducting interviews and preparing texts. That will also help to improve his/her written and spoken Portuguese language.
The volunteer should organize an information campaign about the opportunities that the European Solidarity Corps and the Erasmus + Program provide to young people.
The volunteer will also accompany the AJD to meetings, seminars, assemblies, shows, etc., those promoted by Animar – Portuguese Association for Local Development or by the National Federation of Youth Associations – FNAJ.
The host organisation will provide monthly pocket money and food allowances for the volunteer according the rules of European Solidarity Corps (ESC).
Travel cost are up to: 360€ (round trip), according the rules of European Solidarity Corps (ESC).
