Some News about “PROUD I” Project

Association International Initiativities for Cooperation (IIC), Bulgaria is one of the partners of ‘’PROUD I – Preserving ROmanes through the Utilisation of an online Dictionary” project which has been financed by Erasmus + programme of European Union. The project aimed to identify the need for the utilisation of an online platform in Romani language and definition of its different parts.

What has happened so far on the project?

Two partnership meetings were held during 2021 – one in Hungary and one in Athens.

Each partner distributed 125 questionnaires to the relevant target groups of the project, based on which an analysis will be created.

Each partner conducted a survey in their country to identify existing literature in Romani language.

To be honest, we were surprised by the results. You can find tales in Romani language, dictionaries and books describing the way of life of Roma communities in different regions of Bulgaria and their holidays and customs. We are happy to share these resources with you!
