International Initiatives for Cooperation, Bulgaria is looking for 4 volunteers for an EVS project called Summer Youth Academy (SYA) funded by Erasmus+ programme.
The place of the project: Razlog, Bulgaria (very beautiful town in Southwest Bulgaria)
Duration of the project: 5 months
Description of the project:
SYA is aiming at recruiting 6 volunteers from the program countries to do their voluntary service on the territory of Razlog Municipality, Bulgaria in the frame of 5 months. The volunteers will arrive together on 01.05.2017. As the project is a continuation of the CYA project the volunteers who are selected to participate have to have knowledge and experience in the field of interactive and non-formal working methods which will be used to work with young people and kids. The aim of the project to develop their skills and to empower their potential by offering them diverse activities during their summer vacation. The topics which will be promoted during the whole project are social inclusion, acceptance of differences, tolerance, intercultural dialogue, fight with the aggression and radicalism, active citizenship so the selected participants have to have basic knowledge and opinion on those topics. The task of the volunteers will be to organize different outdoor summer creative and sport workshops in seven thematic fields (music and dances, handcrafts, sports and outdoor activities, ecology and environment, arts, creative writing and entrepreneurship) in town of Razlog. The volunteers have to have good communication and organisation skills. Using the non-formal methods of education, they will reach the youngsters and kids to attract their interest towards the educational process, to show them the importance of education and to help them developing of feeling for initiative of participants in the workshops. The communication with the volunteers will motivate the youngsters and will broaden their worldview and thinking. Thanks to the different activities that the volunteers will implement they will have the opportunity to develop their professional and personal skills.
Conditions:
Accommodation, food and pocket money are covered by the programme and travel costs are according to the distance calculator of European commission.
